The maximum load capacity is indicated on each tire; the so-called load index.
This number, between 50 and 125, tells you how much load you can put in your car.
In this example, the load index is 100. In the table below, you see that the corresponding load capacity is 800 kg. Calculating the load capacity of your car is now very easy.
If the load index of the tire is 800 kg, then the load capacity of the whole car is (4 x 800 kg=) 3200 kg.

Be careful:
When replacing tires, the load index of the new tires must be the same as that of the original tire: a higher index is possible, a lower one never. It is important that the same load index is placed on the same tire axle. The necessary minimum load index applies to each tire on an axle.
